Let the Sun Shine In!

I may be in the business of dressing naked windows but there are just some windows that are so beautiful by themselves. 



This leaded glass window, in an early 1900's home, is a perfect example of letting this beauty speak for it self, no window treatments needed.

Windows and doors that open onto a beautiful courtyard, a look and feeling that I would love to have in my own home.

Wow!!!!  Windows, more windows, and then still a few more windows.  Notice the drapery at the bottom that will offer privacy when needed. 

A window in the shower, how do you feel about that?  I personally love this window and would enjoy the natural light that it would bring to your morning shower. 

The slide, and peek-a-boo window above it have been left alone so that everyone in this room can enjoy the ocean view and sunshine. 

Draperies Warm Up Your Space

In some homes, it's common practice to swap out the drapery in accordance with the season.  Lightweight and sheer draperies welcome the sun and warm breezes during the spring and summer months.  Come fall and winter, heavier fabrics protect against cool air. On a designing stand point, I also like the idea of having two different looks throughout the year, a cool spring and summer look and a little heavier look for the winter season.  Plus, it's always fun to change things up a bit.  But whether you're changing your drapery for the season or simply looking for a change, the following photos showcase some great options.
