Give Your Bed a Dramatic Backdrop

You may think the only options for the space above you bed are headboards or some type of wall art.  However, if you really want to raise the drama of your bed, it may be time to consider a bed background.  Whether it's created via wallpaper, fabric or something else, a bed background goes beyond the typical measurements of a headboard, grounding your bed by means of an enticing focal point.  Wondering if the look is right for you?  Take a peek at these photos to see if your bed is destined for an entirely new look.

Covering the wall behind the bed in upholstered panels creates a soft and warm background, enhancing the room's coziness factor.

A mirrored bed background will ground the bed and make the entire room look much larger.

If color and texture is what you're after, consider transforming your bed background into an accent wall via brick.  Choose a warm color that pulls tones from other parts of the room.  By also adding the reclaimed headboard this room has the downtown industrial loft feeling.
